downtown shopping: click boutique & gallery

with 2 comments

New fave.

I don’t know where I’ve been for the last six months, but I’ve been missing out on a treasure right here in downtown: Click Boutique & Gallery.  Creators Adam and Jason welcomed me in this morning, and I am hooked on their well curated, whimsically cool boutique.  Adam describes the Click aesthetic as 40s/50s-style, with an emphasis on dresses.  And though you’d never guess it by looking at these chic frocks, interspersed with hip slouchy tees and silk shorts, the price point is, according to Adam, usually under $100.  The vintage-inspired jewelry and accessories are insanely affordable and rich-looking, too.

Adam and Jason are committed to downtown; their apartment is right behind the Front Street boutique (literally: they share a wall), and if they can’t get there by foot, bike, or bus, they don’t go, Adam says.  They recently hosted a Breakfast at Tiffany’s (dress-up!) evening at the Saenger, and tonight they’re hosting a munny decorating party with Southern Fried Comics this evening.  And there’s a focal local section of their boutique featuring brightly-hued crocheted accessories and bohemian handmade jewelry.  Rock on, guys!

Here’s my loot from today’s visit:

A go-to summer frock that will gracefully transition into fall. I'm wearing it now with this stretchy belt from Anthropologie and gladiator sandals; in the fall, I'll add a cardigan, a darker belt, boots, and - if it ever gets cold enough - tights.

Love the ruffle detail at the waist.

Wear-with-everything perfection.
